eBook Instructions

Our library provides access to eBooks by being a member of the Ohio eBook Project (OEP), which contracts with OverDrive to provide digital content.  With the increased popularity of eBooks and eReaders, we've included instructions for the most popular reading devices: Amazon's Kindle, Barnes & Noble's Nook, and Apple devices.

The OEP site also has very extensive Help files for users of Android and Blackberry devices. OverDrive is constantly working at making other devices compatible with their product. Here is the latest list of compatible devices.

If you experience difficulty in downloading or any other problem related to the OEP site, please contact the library rather than OEP or OverDrive.

NOTE:  Kindle eBooks are not able to be downloaded using Amazon's 3G network. They must be downloaded via Wi-Fi. So if you do not have access to a Wi-Fi network at home or elsewhere, you will have to download your eBook to your computer and then transfer the book to your Kindle using the USB cable.
